Learning with the Tutor

How a goal becomes a pathway, and how a study session with the Tutor works.

Guide · Updated 17 Oct 2026

Everything in StudyBuk starts from a goal. A goal becomes a pathway: topics in a sensible order, each with a few objectives you should be able to do by the end.

Your study team

Four agents work together in a session:

  • Coordinator decides who should answer next.
  • Planner builds and adjusts your pathway.
  • Tutor teaches.
  • Quizmaster checks what you've learned.

You don't have to address them by name. Just talk, and the right one answers.

Starting a session

Open your library and click a topic. A session opens in Study and the Tutor picks up where that topic stands: a fresh topic starts from the basics, and one you've practised starts from what you got wrong.

Ask anything along the way: "give me an example", "why is that O(1)?", "slower please". The Tutor explains in the style you chose during setup.

The session panel

The panel beside the chat (behind Show session panel on a phone) shows:

  • the pathway and where you are in it
  • your latest quiz score
  • which agent is leading

Ending a session

When you finish, StudyBuk writes a short session note: what you covered, what clicked and what to revisit. Read it any time in Dashboard → Sessions. If you just close the tab, the session stays unfinished and you can Write note later.
